Welcome to Design by Gryffyn

"Design by Gryffyn" is a one-person operation, that person being myself, R. Lynn Shell. I became interested in web design when I first saw various kennel web sites online and wanted to get my dogs and dreams up for other folks to see. I am self-taught, having begun by purchasing FrontPage software and throwing myself into it. Then came learning to code HTML, editing CGI and PHP open source scripts, accessibility guidelines and designing utilizing CSS.

I was employed by a state university for almost nine years utilizing my web skills - all this having come about because of a desire to show off my dogs on the 'Net years ago.

I am available for web design projects on a contract basis. I offer a variety of services, from maintenance of sites not of my design to complete web sites created from scratch, including graphics. I have worked with open source scripts such as WordPress, Joomla, Menalto's Gallery, Greymatter, and Open Realty. I also handle photo scanning and restoration.
